AFF Summer Camp 2024

AFF Summer Camp 2024 was designed to equip young participants with valuable skills in Graphic Design, Video Editing, and Artificial Intelligence (AI). These fields are shaping the future of creativity and problem-solving, and by providing hands-on learning experiences, we ensured that attendees gained practical knowledge to stay ahead in an ever-evolving digital world.

The Power of Tech Skills

The world is increasingly digital, and equipping young people with the right skills prepares them for a tech-driven future.

• Graphics Design & Video Editing: These skills allowed kids to express their creativity, learn visual storytelling, and gain hands-on experience with digital tools used in media, branding, and content creation. Several students even created their first digital art and short video projects, a testament to their newfound abilities!

-Artificial Intelligence (AI): AI is transforming industries, and exposing young minds to AI concepts early builds problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and innovation. Participants learned the basics of AI, from machine learning to automation, and even experimented with some applications.

A Collaborative Effort for Youth Empowerment

This year's camp was a collaborative initiative organized by AFF and the Access Bank Retail Banking team, bringing together expert partners to deliver a high-quality learning experience. This includes Flip Learn Kids, who led the sessions on Graphics Design and Video Editing, providing practical, hands-on training that helped students develop creative projects. Kemonai facilitated the Artificial Intelligence classes, breaking down complex AI concepts into fun and engaging lessons that sparked curiosity and innovation.

Together, we provided an immersive four-week learning experience for over 100 young participants aged 6-17 years, creating an environment where they could explore, create, and grow.

Exciting Rewards & Lasting Impact

To encourage participation and excellence, we awarded ₦100,000 in prizes to outstanding students who showed exceptional creativity, problem-solving skills, and dedication throughout the program and in the projects.

However, the true impact of AFF Summer Camp 2024 goes beyond prizes, it lies in the transformation of young minds and the opportunities created:
